Today was an easy recovery day, just a 3000m easy swim, nothing exciting at all.
My race season finally begins this weekend with the Honolulu Continental Cup triathlon on Sunday. It looks to be a pretty solid race, as it is doubling as US Elite Nationals as well. There will be a lot of good Americans on the line, as well as athletes from Canada, Australia, Switzerland, and New Zealand.
The weather looks to be great...lows of 73F, highs of 84F. The race goes nice and early on Sunday, with us dashing into the ocean at 6am, just as the sun is coming up.
Info on the race can be found here at the race web site.
We don't leave until Monday night at 9pm, so it leaves some time to catch some rays, and do some sightseeing. I'm really pumped to get out to Pearl Harbor to check out the USS Arizona memorial, as seen below.
